ABOUT THE PROJECT

SABIAN is one of the world's leading cymbal manufacturers and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022.
With a long family tradition in the musical instrument market, SABIAN has combined craftsmanship and innovation in a constant search for perfection and new sounds.
To commemorate this anniversary, SABIAN launched a limited edition cymbal, for which we developed together with the Canadian agency Arts & Science the logo and visual identity, which was disseminated with different print and digital pieces in its different communication channels.

Along with the identity, we designed the website where its main milestones in these four decades are shown. There you can see its beginnings, founders, launches and collaborations with prominent drummers from all over the world.

DESIGN VALUE

The concept used to develop the visual proposal was that of resonance, a physical phenomenon by which sound is stored and transferred. This allowed us to play with movement, repetition, propagation and distribution of elements.
The bold use of typography, textures, the circle as the main shape and element, together with a color palette inspired by the minerals that make up the cymbals (bronze and tin) reflect the company's dedicated, artisanal production process.
